About Knowledge Bank

Developing New Healthy Behaviors, 85
Financial Education, 100
Exposure, 75

Knowledge Bank is a 501c3 organization committed to improving the financial literacy of youth. Our workshops are aimed at  introducing new concepts, starting new conversations and teaching life application.

We create economic hope where hope may not have existed before and we equip youth with the tools to adequately and healthily participate in free enterprise. Our mission is to produce a generation of financially knowledgeable, responsible and empowered youth.

Our 3-component approach to improving financial literacy includes financial education, exposure and the development of healthy financial behaviors.

Academic qualifications are important and so is financial education. They’re both important and schools are forgetting one of them.

ROBERT KIYOSAKI

Students learn about banking, budgeting, career planning, credit, investing, entrepreneurship, paycheck deductions and responsible spending. Each semester concludes with students displaying their comprehension of personal finance through 3-5 minute presentations.

Experience without theory is blind, but theory without experience is mere intellectual play.

IMMANUEL KANT

Students are incentivized for reading and verbally summarizing periodicals with financial themes. Students visit banks, car lots and – in the future- newly developed subdivisions to learn firsthand about banking, purchasing a vehicle and purchasing a home.
Field studies play a valuable role in curricula: from pre-elementary school through to university doctoral programs. Regardless of the level, they create an expanded classroom through a variety of settings and forms (Katula & Threnhauser, 1999).

Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.

ARISTOTLE

Students are exposed to healthy images of success and wealth on a weekly basis. We close each session speaking words of affirmation through our mantra which emphasizes saving and giving over consumption.
Habits account for about 40 percent of our behaviors on any given day. Understanding how to build new habits (and how your current ones work) is essential for making progress in your health, your happiness, and your life in general.

Our workshops are aimed at  introducing new concepts, starting new conversations and teaching life application.

My kids really learned how to save!

Leslie Brown

He’s Focused on Saving

My Son, Adam had a grand of a time in the class.  He seems focused on saving more.  I am glad I was given this information by your Mom.  It is a great program and more children and  including college students should take these classes as it will help them in the life’s goal.

learn tangible ways to earn and save money

There are no words to describe how grateful me and Blair are for the opportunity she was given to learn tangible ways to earn and save money. I recommend every parent who have the opportunity to get their children involved in this program to take advantage of this great program.
